The Most Taboo Word in Fatherhood…

Last week I spoke for an hour with Alec from Fatherhood Reforged – a community of homeschooling dads based in the UK.

Alec empowers fathers to take control of their legacies through homeschooling and I’ve been wanting to have a one-on-one with him for some time.

We talked about a topic at the fore of my mind recently and the most taboo word in fatherhood… rest.

It’s often hard to know the line between genuine self-care and selfishness – especially when “rest” is a label that can be abused for other motives.

Do we really need it? Are we just chasing indulgences when we really want to pursue connection? Is “rest” just the label we use to punish our partners by weaponising our absence?

I really hope you enjoy this different and important topic. Being rested and available for our children as they grow into the next generation of decision makers is an important front in the fight for liberty.

Let’s not let them down!
